Round Baby Afghan

NOTE: I ended up frogging this afghan and re-created it as the Lush Baby Afghan. Full pattern posted here.

I created this using the Puff stitch, and DC's just making it up as I go. Working in the round using pastel colors. I'm going to incorporate yellow and purple as well.

Wow, making it up as you go for something round and flat is difficult for me. I do have a direction for increases in sc to make round and flat, but somehow round and flat does not always work for me.

I need to try out an afghan done in a circle, but I think I will have to follow a pattern to do it.

I'll admit it's requiring lots of trial and error (read frogging!), but it's fun and I'm writing the pattern down as I go.

The trick, as I understand, is that if the rnd has too few stitches in it, it will pucker inward. And if the rnd has too many stitches in it, it will ruffle.

It's a definite learning experience! You should try it sometime.

Teresa, have you finished this? I would absolutely love to see it and am very interested in the pattern.

Hi, Bev! I'm afraid to say it sits undone as you see it here. I know where I left it, but have to find my pattern notes. I'll be sure to post the finished 'ghan here once it's completed. As far as the pattern, I'll have it tested on Crochetville and make any necessary adjustments before posting the pattern here. I'm almost finished with my scrapghan and then I'll pick this back up because of the interest it is receiving. Stay tuned!
